Estudio comparativo de la redacción académica en estudiantes de primer año de una universidad pública y otra privada de Lima

Abstract

El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue determinar las diferencias en la redacción académica entre estudiantes de una universidad pública y otra privada con sede en Lima Metropolitana. La población objetivo está conformada por estudiantes de primer año de la Facultad de Medicina de dichas universidades. La investigación es descriptiva comparativa con enfoque cuantitativo. La metodología tiene un diseño no experimental de tipo transversal de comparaciones. Se utilizó la Prueba diagnóstica del desempeño en redacción académica (PDDRA) como instrumento de evaluación. Los criterios empleados en la prueba muestran como resultado que sí existe una diferencia significativa a favor de la universidad pública entorno a los criterios de pertinencia y solidez, competencia léxico gramatical, puntuación y ortografía; sin embargo, en el criterio de organización del contenido, ambas universidades no presentan mayores diferencias.

The main objective of this investigation is to determinate the differences in the academic redaction between students from a public university and a private one from the city of Lima. The target population was formed by students of the first year of the school of medicine. This investigation is descriptive with a quantitative approach, the methodology has a non-experimental design of transversal comparisons, which used “Prueba diagnóstica del desempeño en redacción académica” (PDDRA). The results help the base hypothesis raised in the investigation, showing that it does exist a significant difference between the academic redaction of public university students in comparison to students from private universities. As to the differences on the criteria used on the Test, it´s concluded that there is a significant difference between appropriateness and soundness, grammar lexicon competition, punctuation and spelling criteria, however, in terms of content organization, both universities, does not show any significant differences.
