La insolencia social del chiste : La crítica irónica del feminismo en la serie cómica animada BoJack Horseman

Abstract

La presente tesis pone en perspectiva la importancia e impacto que tienen las comedias en nuestra sociedad, no solo por su característica lúdica, sino por las críticas que emiten a través de sus chistes. El discurso que se elabora en este género va más allá del entretenimiento; por ello, se realiza un análisis del discurso de la comedia irónica animada BoJack Horseman, para así examinar la construcción humorística de los chistes. Con ello, determinamos que el componente irónico dota de cierta destreza a la comedia para criticar lo que aparentemente avala. Así pues, la investigación centra su crítica a la mística femenina que se muestra en el producto comunicacional señalado, puesto que la subordinación femenina es una problemática que ha perdurado durante muchos años; ante ello, la comedia se muestra como una alternativa combativa. De este modo, se analizan solo los episodios cuyo eje temático se relacione con la mística, mediante matrices que la relacionen y contextualicen con los chistes presentados. Cada una de estas apuntará a caracterizar la mística femenina encontrado en los chistes; luego, poder interpretar los mensajes implícitos de cada uno de ellos; y, por último, determinar el discurso subyacente que se articula críticamente hacia la mística. En síntesis, se examina los elementos humorísticos irónicos para comprender el discurso que permite que una comedia, aparentemente inofensiva, se tome en serio las falencias sociales y asuma una postura crítica específica ante ellas.

This thesis puts into perspective the relevance and impact of comedies in todays society, not only due to its playful characteristic, but also the attributes of criticism through the jokes. The elements of speech on this genre go beyond entertainment, thereby, a discourse analysis of ironic comedy BoJack Horseman is performed, in order to examine the humorous construction of the jokes. As a result, we determine that the ironic component ascertains a key element of criticism on comedy to prevail what is endorsed. Thus, this research focus its criticism on the feminine mystique that is reflected in the shown communication product, since feminine subordination is a problem that has endured for many years; with that, comedy is shown as a combative alternative. In this way, only in the episodes whose core theme is related to mysticism are analyzed, through certain matrices that relate and contextualize it with the presented jokes. Each of these will first of aim to characterize the feminine mystique found in jokes; secondly, to be able to interpret the implicit messages of each of them, and lastly, determine the underlying discourse that is critically articulated towards mysticism. In summary, the elements of ironic humorous are examined to understand the way that allows an apparent inoffensive comedy, to interpret the failures of society seriously and portray a specific critical stand towards them.
