Abstract
The company AGP PERU SAC is dedicated to the manufacture of laminated glass for the automotive industry, standing out for its investment in R&D and its technological leadership in three business lines: Security, Defense and eGlass. The analysis carried out uses Porter's five forces, identifying potential competitors, substitute products, negotiating power of customers and suppliers, and the intensity of competition. The automotive glass industry faces strong competition, especially from Chinese companies. The company faces a shortage of green tempered glass due to a 40% increase in demand. This affects production capacity and order fulfillment, generating additional costs and possible financial losses. Three international suppliers (China, Turkey and Spain) were evaluated to cover the demand. The selected proposal includes collaboration with a supplier in Spain, which meets the required quality and sustainability standards. The project shows financial viability with an IRR of 68.4% and a NPV of 7.85 million of dollars, indicating success with the chosen supplier and potential to increase production flow and reduce furnace setup times, a bottleneck in the process.
