Abstract
This educational innovation project addresses the issue of low development of mathematical competencies among sixth-cycle Basic Education students at a private institution in Lima, Peru. The primary goal is to enhance these competencies through adaptive learning technology, specifically for first-year secondary students. To achieve this, the project aims to design content and resources that strengthen mathematical knowledge, promote collaborative learning, and integrate playful activities enhanced by ICT in mathematics teaching. The project was structured in phases, from planning to evaluation. A detailed schedule was created, covering coordination with the educational institution to post-test analysis. Activities included topic exploration, survey application, algorithm design, programming, and result evaluation. This methodological approach aimed not only to improve mathematical competencies but also to assess the effectiveness of adaptive learning technology in the educational process. The pilot experience demonstrated the advantages of adaptive learning through an educational video game. The results highlighted the benefits in student motivation and provided insights for its application in various mathematical topics and educational cycles. This proposal seeks to implement an innovative educational process that enhances mathematics learning through technology, thereby improving students' competencies and performance in this essential area.
