recursos, metas y plazos establecidos.
This research aimed to evaluate the correlation between project management, according to the PMBOK® Guide Seventh Edition (PMBOK 7th), and the productivity of MACOM S.A.C., a company engaged in electromechanical maintenance and assembly within the mining sector. The organization faces challenges such as empirical project management, lack of standardized methodologies, limited use of technological tools, and significant deviations in time, cost, and performance. During the initial diagnosis, it was identified that the company reported an average productivity of 67.00%, an efficiency of 80.10%, and an effectiveness of 83.50%, according to internal reports from the first semester of 2024. To address this situation, schedule, cost, and performance were analyzed in alignment with the PMBOK 7th, considering them as interdependent dimensions that drive both results achievement and value creation. This study adopted a quantitative approach and was conducted through a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design. Documentary analysis techniques and structured surveys were applied to personnel involved in project management. Five key projects were taken as reference to apply KPIs such as the Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), and the Conformity Deliverables Index. The findings after the implementation of improvements revealed a positive effect on project performance. Productivity increased to 102.25%, efficiency reached 99.35%, and effectiveness improved to 102.79%, demonstrating significant progress in optimizing resources, objectives, and established deadlines. Therefore, it can be concluded that the adoption of best practices from the PMBOK 7th positively influences the productivity of MACOM S.A.C.
