Abstract
El impacto de la educación virtual durante la pandemia ha influenciado en el rendimiento
lector de los alumnos y alumnas de los primeros grados, ocasionando un retraso del
estudiante en relación con sus pares que se puede visualizar en los grados superiores como
es el cuarto grado de primaria, donde las demandas son mayores. En el contexto
postpandemia, el fomentar el hábito lector en el proceso de aprendizaje fue un desafío para
las instituciones educativas, que tuvieron que adaptarse a una realidad carente de un hábito
lector. Hoy en día, los docentes tienen que utilizar estrategias de enseñanza, que lleven a
los estudiantes a promover otra vez el interés por la lectura y de esa manera mejorar su
rendimiento lector.
El objetivo del presente trabajo fue analizar el rendimiento lector en la etapa de la
postpandemia entre los alumnos y alumnas de las secciones del cuarto grado de primaria
de una institución educativa pública de Lima. El método fue hipotético deductivo, de tipo
básica con un diseño descriptivo comparativo ya que se tuvo dos muestras, cuarto grado A””
con 31 estudiantes y cuarto grado “B” con 24 estudiantes. La prueba que se aplicó fue la
versión adaptada de la Batería de Evaluación de los Procesos Lectores-Revisada –
PROLEC-R (Cuetos et al., 2007; adaptación de Cayhualla et al., 2011)
Los resultados de la evaluación concluyen que, aunque la pandemia presentó significativos
desafíos para la educación, los esfuerzos de adaptación por parte de las instituciones y
docentes han sido efectivos, permitiendo que los estudiantes mantengan un rendimiento
lector adecuado, con áreas específicas de mejora identificadas que pueden ser abordadas
en futuros esfuerzos educativos. Es así como, los resultados de la presente evaluación
indican que los estudiantes del cuarto grado de primaria han logrado mantener un
rendimiento adecuado en términos de lectura.

Teachers have to use teaching strategies that lead students to promote again their interest in reading. The objective of this study was to analyze reading achievement in the post-pandemic stage among students in the fourth grade sections of a public school in Lima. The method was hypothetical deductive, basic type with a descriptive comparative design since there were two samples, fourth grade "A" with 31 students and fourth grade "B" with 24 students. The test applied was the adapted version of the Reading Processes Evaluation Battery-Revised - PROLEC-R (Cuetos et al., 2007; adapted from Cayhualla et al., 2011). The evaluation results conclude that, although the pandemic presented significant challenges for education the adaptation efforts by institutions and teachers have been effective, allowing students to maintain an adequate reading performance, with specific areas for improvement identified that can be addressed in future educational efforts. Thus, the results of the present evaluation indicate that fourth-grade primary school students have managed to maintain an adequate reading performance.
