Abstract
The following thesis is a contribution to the didactics of university theater, specifically in the context of this specialty. This innovation proposed for an acting course has sought to propose solutions to the following problem detected: limited teaching-learning spaces to generate knowledge and reflection on the basic elements of acting with the participation of students in a theater course. The thesis report is made up of four chapters. The first chapter deals with the analysis and reflection of university teaching practice in the context of the performing arts, and the following chapter presents the innovation project proposed to answer the question: Does the implementation of active methods favor the teaching-learning of the Acting II course in the Theater career at a private university in Lima? The third chapter of the report presents the design and execution of the pilot experience planned for five weeks within the development of an acting course, and finally, the last chapter presents the evaluation of the pilot experience organized under the following criteria: a) innovation in teaching practice, b) effectiveness of the experience and c) feasibility and relevance of the experience. The conclusions refer to the fact that active methods significantly increase student participation, their novel and creative activities foster student interest in the course, and promote reflection and understanding of the basic elements of acting.
