Resumen
En respuesta al crecimiento de la industria de mascotas en el Perú y los riesgos
asociados con la mala gestión de residuos biocontaminados, BioVetx aborda la problemática
del manejo inadecuado de residuos patológicos veterinarios en Lima Metropolitana. Este
problema representa amenazas significativas para la salud pública y el medio ambiente
debido a la falta de un tratamiento especializado para estos residuos. BioVetx propone un
modelo de negocio integral y sostenible que incluye la recolección, transporte, tratamiento e
incineración de residuos veterinarios, incorporando tecnologías avanzadas que cumplen con
los estándares ambientales y contribuyen a la reducción de emisiones de gases de efecto
invernadero. Este proyecto está alineado con el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) 13,
promoviendo acciones climáticas responsables.
El servicio de BioVetx ofrece beneficios tangibles tanto para las clínicas veterinarias
como para la sociedad en general. La adecuada gestión de residuos biocontaminados
disminuye el riesgo de infecciones y enfermedades transmitidas por desechos mal manejados,
protegiendo la salud de los trabajadores municipales y de la población. Además, su operación
eficiente ayuda a mitigar los impactos ambientales, fomentando un entorno más limpio y
saludable. Al cerrar la brecha de infraestructura en el tratamiento de estos residuos, BioVetx
se posiciona como un aliado estratégico en la mejora de la calidad de vida en Lima
Metropolitana.
La propuesta se presenta como una solución innovadora y socialmente responsable,
ofreciendo tranquilidad a las clínicas veterinarias al garantizar el cumplimiento normativo y
la seguridad en el manejo de sus desechos. Con una proyección inicial que aspira a cubrir un
15% del mercado, BioVetx busca consolidarse como líder en el sector, impulsando un
desarrollo sostenible que beneficia a todos los actores involucrados.
In response to the growth of the pet industry in Peru and the risks associated with the poor management of biocontaminated waste, BioVetx addresses the problem of inadequate management of veterinary pathological waste in Metropolitan Lima. This problem represents significant threats to public health and the environment due to the lack of specialized treatment for this waste. BioVetx proposes a comprehensive and sustainable business model that includes the collection, transportation, treatment, and incineration of veterinary waste, incorporating advanced technologies that meet environmental standards and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. This project is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13, promoting responsible climate actions. BioVetx's service offers tangible benefits for both veterinary clinics and society in general. The proper management of biocontaminated waste reduces the risk of infections and diseases transmitted by poorly managed waste, protecting the health of municipal workers and the population. In addition, its efficient operation helps mitigate environmental impacts, promoting a cleaner and healthier environment. By closing the infrastructure gap in the treatment of this waste, BioVetx positions itself as a strategic ally in improving the quality of life in Metropolitan Lima. The proposal is presented as an innovative and socially responsible solution, offering peace of mind to veterinary clinics by guaranteeing regulatory compliance and safety in the management of their waste.
