Abstract
Gandules Inc. is a company with 20 years in the agribusiness market in the district of Jayanca, Lambayeque region; the company has its own processing plant and farmland in the same district. Through the business consulting carried out, four problems were identified in the organization related to the availability of labor recruitment for agricultural and industrial operations, the availability of water resources, the availability of containers for export and the lack of prioritization in the face of conjunctures shortage or excess of MMPP. It was determined that the main drawback of Gandules Inc. at present is the availability of recruiting labor for agricultural and industrial operations. It was identified that the three main causes that originated the problem are: (a) the lack of visibility of the labor market that affects the planning, (b) the deactivation of external recruiters (pullers) of the initial approved budget, and (c) the deactivation of internal leaders and vehicle units of the initial approved budget. For this reason, the implementation of four solution alternatives was proposed, which are: (a) reactivation of recruitment under the “internal leader” modality, (b) reactivation of recruitment under the “external puller” modality, (c) implementation of a study of the labor market in the Lambayeque region, and (d) performance of the sensitivity analysis in the storage of the raw material. The consulting team together with the representatives of the company has decided to apply the four solution options, but at different times. This requires an investment of $12,000 by the company that will be recovered according to the calculations made in one year, eight months and 19 days, with a NPV of $16,545.77, a benefit / cost indicator of 2.38, an IRR 57%, higher than the discount rate, these indicators demonstrated that the application of the solution is economically viable.
