Abstract
We have been able to identify that in a language centre committed to English language teaching, compulsory speaking courses have not been implemented and given the need to further promote and enhance this ability, the following problem has been identified: Limited development of oral ability in the English language in students at a private institute in Lima. To this end, the following guiding question is proposed: How do role-playing and the virtual platform Flip promote the improvement of oral expression in the absence of mandatory courses that improve this ability in a language institute in Lima. To answer this question, the following general objective was raised: To develop the oral capability in English in students of intermediate level 12 by making use of role-play through the Flip application. In the first stage, the identification of the motivating experiences and the level of involvement of the students were carried out through the virtual application Flip. In the second stage, learning experiences were applied through role-play as a pedagogical strategy via Flip for oral production in English. In the third stage, the assessment of the result of the pilot plan of the innovation project so as to propose adjustments and improvements. We have considered the appropriacy of using role-play, which was developed on the virtual video-based application, Flip, for the purposes of this research. Finally, in the fourth stage, among the main conclusions, we can point out the active role of teachers and students through role-playing, the feasibility of using the Flip application, motivation as an important element in the development of the project and the evidence of the enhancement in oral capability in English in Intermediate-12 students.
