Abstract
La intervención en tartamudez beneficia a los niños disminuyendo sus disfluencias
e incrementando sus habilidades comunicativas. El objetivo de la investigación fue
determinar el efecto de la intervención en tartamudez en 4 niños con tartamudez del
desarrollo de Lima Metropolitana. La investigación es tipo mixto y diseño
integración múltiple. La muestra fue elegida de manera intencional y estuvo
conformada por dos niños de 4 años y dos de 6 años de edad. La selección se dio
después de una evaluación fonoaudiológica, donde se diagnosticó tartamudez del
desarrollo. Se utilizó el Protocolo del Perfil de la Fluidez del habla, el Instrumento
de Severidad de la Tartamudez y el Protocolo de Riesgo para la Tartamudez del
Desarrollo para las evaluaciones. El tratamiento fue de 3 meses. Los resultados
mostraron efectividad en todos los casos, quienes aumentaron el flujo de palabras
y sílabas por minuto, disminuyeron las tipologías de las disfluencias, los puntajes
de severidad y riesgo para la tartamudez. Se concluyó que, la intervención
comprobó su efectividad en todos los casos.
Intervention in stuttering benefits children by decreasing their disfluencies and increasing their communication skills. The objective of the research is to determine the effect of the stuttering intervention in 4 children with development stuttering of Lima Metropolitana. The research is mixed type and multiple integration design. The sample is chosen intentionally and consists of 2 children of 4 years old and 2 of 6 years old. The selection is after a phonoaudiological evaluation, where development stuttering was diagnosed. The Speech Fluency Profile Protocol, the Stuttering Severity Instrument and the Development Stuttering Risk Protocol for the evaluations were used. The treatment lasted 3 months. The results showed effectiveness in all cases, which increased the flow of words and syllables per minute, decreased the typologies of disfluencies, the severity scores and risk for stuttering. It was concluded that the intervention proved its effectiveness in all cases.
