Punto hueco: un planteamiento sobre la trascendencia y significación de la experiencia romántica

Resumen
Esta tesis aborda el imaginario y conceptos ligados a la experiencia del amor romántico
mediada generacionalmente y se justifica por su impacto crucial en la construcción de la
identidad y el autoconcepto. La hipótesis postula que existe una tensión importante entre los
polos inicio-fin durante el tránsito de una relación romántica, la cual tiene un modelo social
aceptado en la que evoluciona. La resignificación de estas experiencias para que no dependan
únicamente de un desenlace trascendental que desemboquen en cumplir expectativas y mitos
románticos, sino que se reconozca en los meros signos o huellas que contribuyen a la
configuración de la historia personal y el autoconocimiento.
Combina la investigación teórica con la práctica artística ya que recurre al análisis de
productos culturales contemporáneos como videoensayos en internet, cine y literatura,
medios que se caracterizan por su alcance masivo.
Incorpora visiones culturales y filosóficas como la leyenda del hilo rojo, así como el uso de
experiencias personales utilizadas en el formato de ensayo que une texto e imagen. El
proyecto artístico Punto hueco materializa estas reflexiones a través de una instalación
(fotografía, video, objetos) que representa el desgaste de una relación desde la perspectiva
femenina mientras reflexiona sobre las construcciones y asperezas alrededor del amor
romántico.
Reconocer la complejidad y las limitaciones de los modelos y representaciones socioafectivos
que vinculan a los individuos, revisar la jerarquización de los afectos es necesario para
implementar una escala de valores propia, algún sentido de significado personal.
This thesis addresses the imagery and concepts linked to the generationally mediated experience of romantic love and is justified by its crucial impact on the construction of identity and self-concept. The hypothesis postulates that there’s a significant tension between the beginning and end poles during the transition of a romantic relationship, which has accepted social models and patterns that must evolute in a preferable ways. The redefinition of these experiences is needed so that they don’t depend solely on a transcendental outcome that leads to fulfilling external social expectations and romantic myths, but rather are also recognized in the mere signs or traces that contribute to the configuration of personal history and self-knowledge. It combines theoretical research with artistic practice, and resorts to the analysis of contemporary cultural products such as video essays on the internet, film, and literature, media characterized by their massive reach. The incorporation of cultural and philosophical perspectives such as the legend of the red thread, as well as the use of personal experiences merges text and image in the essay format. The art project Punto hueco materializes these reflections through an installation (photography, video, objects) that represents the wear and tear of a relationship from a female perspective while reflecting on the constructions and difficulties surrounding romantic love. Recognizing the complexity and limitations of the socio-affective models, representations that bind individuals, and reviewing the hierarchy of relationships is necessary to implement a scale of values and a sort of sense of personal meaning.
