Abstract
En los últimos años el negocio retail ha mostrado un gran crecimiento en Lima
Metropolitana. Esto debido al incremento del número de tiendas que han tenido los grandes
supermercados, hipermercados y tiendas por departamento, además de un importante
crecimiento económico del país.
El presente trabajo de investigación ha analizado el nivel de cumplimiento de los
nueve factores del éxito de la calidad total planteados por Benzaquen (2013) en las empresas
del Sector Retail de Lima Metropolitana. Para ello, se elaboró una encuesta dirigida a jefes,
gerentes y altos funcionarios de diferentes empresas de este sector para que brinden su
apreciación del nivel de calidad desarrollado en su organización.
Como resultado se infirió que las empresas con Certificación ISO 9001:2008 tienen
diferencias en relación a las empresas que aún no cuentan con este Sistema de Gestión de
Calidad. Particularmente, se encontraron diferencias significativas en los factores de Alta
Gerencia, Educación y Entrenamiento y Enfoque hacia la Satisfacción al Cliente.
In the last few years the business of retail has shown a big growth in Metropolitan Lima. This is due to the increase of stores that have had the biggest supermarkets, hypermarkets and department stores, and in addition an important economic development of the country. The present research work has analyzed the level of compliance of the nine quality success aspects proposed by Benzaquen (2014) in the companies of the retail sector from Metropolitan Lima. To that end, was made a survey directed to chiefs, managers and seniors officials from different companies of this sector so they can give his appreciation of the quality level developed in their organizations. The result reflected that the companies with ISO 9001:2008 certification have differences in relation to the companies that do not count with this system of quality management. Particularly we have found significant differences in the elements of senior management, education and training, and in the focus of management customer satisfaction.
