Abstract
El presente trabajo de tesis ha sido desarrollado para la unidad de negocio de Chiclayo de
la empresa Ransa Comercial S.A., por cuya construcción y puesta en marcha, la compañía
invirtió S/14 millones en 2015. Esta sede brinda los servicios de almacenamiento de secos,
almacenamiento a temperatura controlada, y transporte y distribución. Cuenta con una
infraestructura de primer nivel y realiza operaciones de altos estándares, cumpliendo con normas
y regulaciones exigidas tanto por el Estado, como por sus clientes, a través de la implementación
de certificaciones de calidad y seguridad.
No obstante, se identificó que la persistente falta de rentabilidad de esta unidad de
negocio representa un serio riesgo para la continuidad de sus operaciones en el mediano y largo
plazo. Síntoma de ello es el bajo nivel de ocupación que tienen sus almacenes actualmente. En
ese sentido, se propone como alternativa de solución la implementación de siete acciones, dos de
ellas referidas al incremento de ventas y cinco a la disminución de costos, siendo todas ellas una
solución integral, resultado de un análisis holístico del problema.
En consecuencia, los beneficios estimados llevan a la utilidad operativa desde sus valores
negativos actuales, hasta ser positiva en el lapso de tres años, tiempo en el que se espera un
incremento de ventas del 70% respecto del 2018, lo que hará posible que se reviertan sus
resultados actuales; teniendo como fundamento para lograr ello, la existencia de un mercado
potencial y las oportunidades internas aún no exploradas de la unidad de negocio y del propio
Ransa.
This thesis work has been developed for Chiclayo business unit of the company Ransa Comercial SA, whose construction and commissioning, the company invested S/ 14 million in 2015. This business unit offers dry storage services, storage with temperature control, transport and distribution. It has a first class infrastructure and makes out high level operations, complying with the standards and regulations required by the state and its customers, through the implementation of quality and safety certifications. However, it was identified that persistent lack profitability of this business unit represents a serious risk for the continuity of its operations in medium and long term. The symptom of this is the low level of occupation that their stores currently have. In this sense, implementation of seven actions is proposed as alternative solution, two of which refer to increase sales and five to reduction costs, all of them are an integral solution, resulting of a holistic analysis of the problem. Consequently, estimated benefits lead to the operating profit of current negative values, to be positive in three years, time in which to increase sales of 70% is expected respect to 2018, it will allow reverse the current earnings, having as based to achieve it, the existence of a potential market and internal opportunities not yet explored by the business unit and Ransa itself.
