Calidad en el sector empresas comercializadoras de equipos electrónicos y electrodomésticos en Lima Metropolitana

Abstract
Esta investigación tiene como objetivo identificar el nivel de cumplimiento de los
factores de éxito del TQM (Total Quality Management) en la gestión de calidad del sector
Empresas Comercializadoras de Equipos Electrónicos y Electrodomésticos en Lima
Metropolitana. En el marco de un enfoque cuantitativo y con alcance descriptivo se
seleccionó una muestra probabilística de 151 empresas, a partir de una población de 250
negocios de distintos tamaños. Es así que con un error estadístico del 5% se logra concluir
que el nivel de calidad en este sector es bueno, al obtener una medio de 4.02 en una escala de
1.00 a 5.00.
Los resultados que se obtuvieron fueron tabulados y analizados utilizando el SPSS
para hacer análisis de frecuencias por cada uno de los nueve factores de la calidad: (a) Alta
Gerencia, (b) Planeamiento de la Calidad, (c) Auditoría y Evaluación de la Calidad, (d)
Diseño del Producto, (e) Gestión de la Calidad del Proveedor, (f) Control y Mejoramiento de
los Procesos, (g) Educación y Entrenamiento, (h) Círculos de Calidad, y (i) Enfoque hacia la
Satisfacción del Cliente.
Las conclusiones de la investigación indican que el factor con mejor nivel de
desempeño es el Control y Mejoramiento de los Procesos, seguido por la Alta Gerencia, al
estar involucrada en la implementación de la administración de calidad. En cambio, el factor
Diseño del Producto obtuvo una media muy baja, lo que probablemente se debe a que las
empresas de este rubro no diseñan ni producen estos productos
This research aims to identify the level of compliance of the nine success factors of TQM (Total Quality Management) in Electronic and Electrical Equipment Companies. In the framework of a quantitative approach with a descriptive scope, where a sample of 151 companies was selected from a population of 250 businesses with different sizes. Thus, with a statistical error of 5% there was concluded that the level of quality in this sector is good, since average was 4.02 on a scale of 1.00 to 5.00. The results obtained were tabulated and analyzed using SPSS, in order to get frequency analysis for each of the nine quality factors: (a) Senior Management, (b) Quality Planning, (c) Audit and Evaluation quality, (d) Product Design, (e) quality Management Supplier (f) Control and Improvement Process (g) Education and Training, (h) Quality Circles, and (i) Approach to Customer Satisfaction. Research findings indicate that the factor with highest level of performance is the Control and Process Improvement, followed by Senior Management, to be involved in the implementation of quality management. Instead, the factor Product Design obtained a very low average, probably because companies in this category do not design or produce these products
