Resumen
La investigación tuvo como objetivo el desarrollo de las Funciones Comunicativas y el lenguaje
comprensivo y expresivo de un niño en edad escolar de 7 años con características del Trastorno del
Espectro Autista. Para ello se creó un programa de intervención basado en las necesidades
individuales del niño y en algunos de los principios del programa TEACCH (Treatment and
Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children), como el uso de ambientes
estructurados y el uso de las habilidades propias de cada niño. También se implementó el uso de los
Sistemas de Comunicación Aumentativo y Alternativo (SAAC) como estrategia principal en cada una
de las actividades. Se intervino los componentes del lenguaje: Léxico-semántico y Pragmático,
debido a que son los más afectados. Se aplicó el programa conformado por 24 sesiones, con una
frecuencia de tres veces por semana. Los resultados permiten señalar un incremento en los aspectos:
Lenguaje expresivo y comprensivo, fluidez verbal, categorizaciones y definiciones, relaciones
semánticas, comprensión auditiva, asociación auditiva, funciones comunicativas, habilidades
conversacionales y la producción del discurso narrativo.
Se concluye que el programa “Arco Iris” permite desarrollar las funciones comunicativas, y el
lenguaje expresivo y comprensivo.
Research aimed at the development of communicative functions and comprehensive and expressive language of a school-age child of 7 years with features of autism spectrum. To do an intervention program based on individual needs of the child and in some of the early TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children) program, such as the use of structured environments and the use of own abilities created each child. the use of Alternative Augmentative Communication Systems (SAAC) as the main strategy in each of the activities were also implemented. Lexical-semantic and pragmatic, components of language, have been intervened because they are the most affected. The program comprised 24 sessions, with a frequency of three times a week was applied. The results would note an increase in aspects: expressive language and understanding, verbal fluency, categorizations and definitions, semantic relationships, listening, auditory association, communicative functions, conversational skills and production of narrative discourse.
