Abstract
La presente investigación busca estudiar la relación entre la Calidad de vida
relacionada con la salud y la esperanza en adulto mayores residentes en un hogar
geriátrico de Lima Metropolitana, a través del Cuestionario de Salud SF-36 versión en
español (Alonso, Prieto y Antó; 1995) y de la Escala de Esperanza de Herth Revisada
HHS-R (Martinez, Cassaretto y Herth; 2011), en una muestra de 48 personas cuyas
edades oscilan entre los 65 a 85 años. Los resultados indican que existe una mayor
CVRS en el aspecto mental y se hallan diferencias significativas según el sexo, la edad,
la categoría económica, la tenencia de pareja y el tiempo de permanencia en el albergue.
Asimismo, resulta que el soporte optimista/espiritual es el factor de esperanza más alto,
en tanto la desesperanza es el más bajo. Por otro lado, se hallan relaciones significativas
entre los factores de la esperanza y las dimensiones de la CVRS, especialmente con el
componente mental.
The objective of the present investigation is to study the relationship between health - related quality of life to and hope in older adult residents in a nursing home in Lima Metropolitana, through the Health Questionnaire SF-36 version in Spanish (Alonso, Prieto & Antó ; 1995 ) and the Herth Hope Scale Revised HHS-R (Martinez, Cassaretto & Herth , 2011) , in a sample of 48 people aged between 65 to 85 years. The results indicate a higher HRQOL in the mental aspect and significant differences by gender, age, economic status, relationship and the time spent in the hostel are. Also, is that the optimist / spiritual support is the highest factor of hope, while hopelessness is the lowest. Furthermore, it was found significant relationships between the factors of hope and dimensions of HRQOL, especially with the mental component.
