Liderazgo durante el Covid-19, preguntando a los teletrabajadores: ¿cómo deberían ser los líderes durante la pandemia?

Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo describir las características que deberían tener
los líderes peruanos que teletrabajan en el contexto de COVID-19 de acuerdo a las expectativas
de sus equipos. Particularmente, resulta importante estudiar sobre las características que se
necesitan en un líder en situaciones de crisis como lo es el contexto de COVID-19, dado que
esta pandemia ha causado una pérdida de bienestar en los teletrabajadores peruanos, quienes
necesitan del líder en este contexto de incertidumbre. El método de investigación planteado fue
cualitativo y el análisis de información se realizó a partir de los planteamientos de la teoría
fundamentada, lo que permitió identificar, a través de entrevistas, un conjunto de características
que describen a los líderes ideales en cinco categorías: carismático y afable, reconoce y se
compromete con su equipo, visión y dirección, orienta y acompaña a su equipo y desarrolla a
su equipo. Estos resultados dan cuenta de la necesidad de implementar cambios en los estilos
de liderazgo actuales. En base a esta investigación, se encontró que la mejor manera de atravesar
los cambios que trae este contexto, es escuchando y reconociendo las necesidades de los
trabajadores. Por tanto, el líder juega un papel fundamental en escuchar y apoyar a su equipo,
a la vez que brinda calma, tranquilidad y un nuevo camino a su equipo y a su organización.
The objective of this research was to describe the characteristics that Peruvian leaders who telework in the context of COVID-19 should have according to the expectations of their teams. In particular, it is important to study the characteristics that are needed in a leader in crisis situations such as the context of COVID-19, given that this pandemic has caused a loss of wellbeing in Peruvian teleworkers, who need the leader in this context of uncertainty. The research method proposed was qualitative and the information analysis was carried out from the approaches of grounded theory, which allowed identifying, through interviews, a set of characteristics that describe ideal leaders in five categories: charismatic and personable, recognizes and commits to his team, vision and direction, guides and accompanies his team and develops his team. These results show the need to implement changes in current leadership styles. Based on this study, it was found that the best way to go through the changes that this context brings is by listening and recognizing the needs of the workers. Therefore, the leader plays a fundamental role in listening and supporting his team, while providing calm, tranquility and a new path to his team and his organization.
