comunidad educativa.
This research aimed to analyze the professional trajectories of principals in a network of Protestant schools in Peru. To achieve this, a literature review was conducted on the professional trajectories of principals at both national and international levels. Additionally, the study explored how these trajectories influence the management of an educational institution. The study was developed using a qualitative approach and employed the case study method. Three female principals with at least three years of experience and a background in teaching were interviewed to analyze their profiles and experiences. The case study approach allowed for an in-depth examination of each professional trajectory, identifying key factors in their development. Furthermore, the results revealed that continuous training and work experience are crucial for effective school leadership. The study also found that ongoing professional development is essential for addressing the challenges of school management. The importance of leadership and socioemotional competencies in decision-making was also highlighted. However, the principals noted that many of these socio-emotional skills were acquired through practical experience. In this regard, the principals developed their skills both academically and experientially, enabling them to handle complex situations effectively. Finally, the study concluded that professional trajectories have both individual and collective components and that the ability to adapt to changes depends on continuous training and work experience - fundamental aspects for making decisions that benefit the entire educational community.
