Motivación y liderazgo transformacional percibido en una empresa privada del sector retail en Lima Metropolitana

Abstract
La presente investigación se orienta a precisar la relación entre las variables: liderazgo
transformacional percibido y motivación laboral. El estudio se realizó con una muestra de
trabajadores pertenecientes a una empresa privada del sector retail en Lima Metropolitana. Para
cumplir con el propósito de la presente investigación, se trabajó con una muestra de 149
trabajadores dependientes entre 18 y 49 años de edad, quienes ocupaban posiciones operativas
tanto de reposición de productos como de cajeros y multifuncionales. Se utilizó la sub-escala
de liderazgo transformacional desarrollada por los autores Bass y Avolio (2000) y adaptada en
el contexto chileno por Vega y Zavala (2004) y la escala de motivación laboral en la versión
adaptada y validada al español por Gagné, Forest, Vansteenkiste, Crevier-Braud, Van Den
Broeck, Aspeli y Wang (2012). Los resultados muestran una correlación significativa, positiva
y mediana entre las dimensiones de liderazgo transformacional percibido y de motivación
autónoma y motivación intrínseca.
The present investigation aims to clarify the relationship between the variables: perceived transformational leadership and autonomous motivation. The study was conducted with a sample of workers belonging to a private company in the retail sector at Lima. In order to comply with the purpose of the present investigation, the study used a sample of 149 dependent workers between 18 and 49 years old, who held operative positions. The sub-scale of transformational leadership developed by the authors Bass and Avolio (2000) and adapted in the Chilean context by Vega and Zavala (2004) and the scale of labor motivation in the version Gagné, Forest, Vansteenkiste, Crevier-Braud, Van Den Broeck, Aspeli y Wang (2012), adapted to spanish languagge. The results show a significant and positive correlation between the transformational leadership variable and the autonomous and intrinsec motivation variable.
