School coexistence is a fundamental aspect in the development of each student in their formation as citizens. For this reason, it is important to explore the strategies that teachers use in their practice to achieve an appropriate climate, where they can coexist in harmony, and the role of the teacher and the influence of parents as fundamental pillars in the education of students are recognized. Therefore, the main objective is to analyze the teaching strategies to promote school coexistence applied in second-grade classrooms of a private primary school in Lima. It is worth mentioning that the two specific objectives focus on, first, conceptualizing democratic coexistence, and second, describing the teaching strategies. Additionally, it is important to highlight that this thesis is qualitative in nature and employs instruments such as interviews and observation guides for data collection. Finally, the conclusions highlight the definitions that teachers have regarding coexistence, which are guided by Catholic values and emotional development (management) that will allow students to feel good about themselves to interact with others. Among the most used or employed strategies by the teachers, we have didactic strategies for conflict resolution, preventive didactic strategies, and cooperative and consensus-based decision-making didactic strategies. Of these, the first two were observed and verified for their use during the time allocated for the research.
