Abstract
The objective of this research is to analyze the work experiences of a group of trans people from Metropolitan Lima. The participants have participated in recruitment and selection processes in the private sector. To perform qualitative analysis from a phenomenological approach in-depth interviews focused on the following areas: on the job search experience, on the experience during the recruitment and selection process, and on the work experience within the job. Currently in Peru there are no laws that allow the recognition of the gender identity of trans people, even no efforts have been made by the State to know the situation of trans people through a national census, consequently it is a deep ignorance about their situation and their experiences at work. The findings of this research indicate that the cisheternomativity of the workplace maintains exclusion, in turn annihilates trans identities through the use of legal data while exposing them to discrimination. The labor experiences of the participants will be traversed by the prevailing binary system in organizational processes which discriminate with impunity.
