Adaptación partidaria de Unión por el Perú (1994-2020): líderes, programa y elecciones

Abstract

La adaptación del partido político Unión por el Perú demuestra que una organización política puede mantenerse en vigencia en un contexto de desprestigio hacia los partidos políticos al igual que con una débil organización interna. Sin embargo, no se tiene conocimiento sobre cómo es la estrategia de adaptación de un partido político en el Perú. Por tal motivo, la presente investigación pretende describir y explicar en qué consiste la adaptación partidaria de Unión por el Perú. La respuesta tentativa plantea que la adaptación partidaria de Unión por el Perú se caracteriza por las diferentes dinámicas que emplea la organización partidaria tanto en el ámbito nacional como en el subnacional. Para ello, el marco teórico se centra en la teoría de adaptación partidaria en América Latina, como también en la organización interna de un partido político, además del enfoque multinivel del sistema de partidos. Para fines de la investigación, se emplea el estudio de caso del partido político Unión por el Perú junto a herramientas cuantitativas y cualitativas. A modo de conclusión, el estudio de la adaptación y trayectoria de los partidos políticos permite entender las dinámicas que estas emplean en la política. De esta manera, también permite comprender de mejor manera la forma de hacer política.

The adaptation of the political party Unión por el Perú shows that a political organization can remain in force in a context of discredit towards political parties as well as with a weak internal organization. However, there is no knowledge of the adaptation strategy of the political party in Peru. For this reason, this research aims to describe and explain what the party adaptation of Unión por el Perú consists of. The tentative response states that the party adaptation of Unión por el Perú is characterized by the different dynamics that the party organization uses both at the national and sub-national levels. For this, the theoretical framework focuses on the theory of party adaptation in Latin America, as well as on the internal organization of a political party, in addition to the multilevel approach of the party system. For research purposes, the case study of the political party Unión por el Perú is used together with quantitative and qualitative tools. As a conclusion, the study of the adaptation and the trajectory of the political parties allows us to understand the dynamics that they use in politics. In this way, it also allows us to better understand the way of doing politics.
