Abstract
El sector de comercialización de calzado en Lima Metropolitana es uno de los que ha
involucrado mayores cambios en la última década debido a la competitividad que se ha
generado por la globalización. Por ello, para garantizar la continuidad de la actividad se
necesita incrementar el valor del producto a través de una adecuada gestión de la calidad.
El presente estudio de investigación, analizó el nivel de calidad actualmente
alcanzado por las empresas del sector Comercialización de Calzado en Lima Metropolitana,
en base al nivel de cumplimiento de los nueve factores de la Administración de la Calidad
Total (TQM) propuestos por Benzaquen (2013), aplicado a una muestra de 100 empresas.
Los resultados del análisis evidenciaron que existe un interés importante de la alta
gerencia orientado al planeamiento de la calidad, diseño del producto, gestión de la calidad
del proveedor, educación y entrenamiento. Sin embargo, algunos factores se encuentran
descuidados como auditoría y evaluación de la calidad, control y mejoramiento de proceso,
círculos de calidad y el enfoque hacia la satisfacción del cliente.
En ese sentido, el estudio refleja una tendencia hacia un valor alto de la calidad del
sector de comercialización de calzado en Lima Metropolitana; haciéndose necesario la
búsqueda de mejoras y oportunidades en términos de calidad que permita a las empresas ser
más competitivas.
One of the sector of commercialization in Lima Metropolitana which involved major changes in the last decade is the commercialization of footwear, this due to the competitiveness that has been generated by globalization. Therefore, to ensure the business continuity, needs to increase the value of the product through an appropriate quality management. This research analyzed the currently quality level achieved by the companies of the commercialization of the sector of footwear in Lima Metropolitana, based on the level of compliance of the nine factors of Total Quality Management (TQM) proposed by Benzaquen (2013 ), applied to a sample of 100 companies. The analysis results showed that exists a significant interest from senior management orientated to the quality planning, product design, quality management provider, education and training. However, some agents are being neglected as audit and quality evaluation, control and process improvement, quality circles and the focus on customer satisfaction. In that sense, the study reflects a trend towards high value of the quality of footwear commercialization sector in Lima Metropolitana; being necessary find out improvements and opportunities in terms of quality, enabling companies to be more competitive.
