Sensibilidad materna y desarrollo del lenguaje en bebés entre 8 y 15 meses en díadas de Lima Metropolitana

Abstract

La presente investigación estudió la relación entre sensibilidad materna y el desarrollo del lenguaje en 36 diadas madre-bebé de Lima metropolitana. La sensibilidad materna se evaluó mediante el Maternal Behavior Q-Sort (MBQS) (Pederson et al., 1999) y el desarrollo del lenguaje con el Inventario de Desarrollo Comunicativo MacArthur-Bates (Communicative Development Inventories, CDI) (Fenson et al., 1994) en 36 madres cuyas edades oscilaron entre los 26 y 45 años de edad (M = 34.47, DE = 4.88), con bebés entre 8 y 15 meses de edad (M = 11.39, DE = 2.38), de los cuales 20 fueron mujeres y 16 hombres. Los resultaron mostraron una correlación significativa negativa entre el perfil Sensitiva y Vocabulario comprensivo, correlación marginal negativa entre Sensibilidad materna global y Vocabulario comprensivo, así como correlación marginal positiva entre el perfil No sincrónica y Vocabulario comprensivo. Respecto al Vocabulario productivo, se encuentra una correlación marginal positiva con Sensibilidad global y negativa con el perfil No sincrónica.

The present investigation studied the association between maternal sensitivity and language development in 36 mother-infant dyads of middle socioeconomic status in Lima Metropolitan. Maternal sensitivity was assessed with the Maternal Behavior Q-Sort (MBQS) (Pederson et al., 1999) and language development with the MacArthur-Bates Communicative Development Inventories (CDI) (Fenson et al., 1994) in 36 mothers whose ages ranged from 26 to 45 years old (M = 34.47, SD = 4.88), with infants between 8 and 15 months old (M = 11.39, SD = 2.38), of whom 20 were female and 16 were male. The results showed a significant negative correlation between the Sensitive profile and Comprehensive Vocabulary, a marginal negative correlation between overall Maternal Sensitivy and Comprehensive Vocabulary, and marginal positive correlation between the Non-synchronous profile and Comprehensive Vocabulary. With regard to Productive Vocabulary, a marginal positive correlation was found with Overall Sensitivity and a negative correlation with the Non-synchronous profile.
