Desarrollo del proceso de prestación de servicios, identificación de riesgos y diseño de controles basados en el modelo COSO 2013: El caso de la MYPE automotriz WARA

Resumen
El presente trabajo tuvo como finalidad desarrollar el proceso de
prestación de servicios e identificar los riesgos asociados, con el propósito
de diseñar controles orientados a mejorar la gestión operativa y
administrativa del Taller Automotriz “WARA”, MYPE dedicada al
mantenimiento y reparación vehicular. La empresa enfrentaba limitaciones
como la ausencia de procedimientos estandarizados, errores en la
ejecución de los trabajos, reprocesos y deficiencias en la comunicación
interna, factores que afectaban directamente la eficiencia de las
operaciones, la calidad del servicio y la rentabilidad del negocio.
Para dar respuesta a esta situación, se empleó como marco
metodológico el modelo COSO 2013, reconocido internacionalmente por su
eficacia en la gestión de riesgos y la organización de procesos. La
propuesta se adaptó a las características de una MYPE automotriz e
incluyó acciones orientadas al fortalecimiento del entorno de control, la
evaluación de riesgos, el diseño de actividades de control, la mejora de la
comunicación interna y la supervisión de los procesos.
El trabajo evidenció que el diseño de controles sustentado en el
modelo COSO 2013 constituye una estrategia efectiva para optimizar la
gestión administrativa y operativa, mejorar la disciplina del personal,
aprovechar de manera más eficiente los recursos y contribuir a la
sostenibilidad del taller. Finalmente, se concluye que la aplicación de un
enfoque estructurado de control permite establecer bases sólidas para el
crecimiento y la competitividad en el sector automotriz.
The purpose of this study was to develop the service delivery process and identify the associated risks, with the aim of designing controls focused on improving the operational and administrative management of “WARA” Automotive Workshop, a micro and small enterprise (MSE) dedicated to vehicle maintenance and repair. The company faced limitations such as the absence of standardized procedures, errors in work execution, reprocessing, and deficiencies in internal communication—factors that directly affected operational efficiency, service quality, and business profitability. To address this situation, the COSO 2013 framework was used as the methodological basis, as it is internationally recognized for its effectiveness in risk management and process organization. The proposal was adapted to the characteristics of an automotive MSE and included actions aimed at strengthening the control environment, risk assessment, control activities design, improvement of internal communication, and process supervision. The study demonstrated that designing controls based on the COSO 2013 model is an effective strategy to optimize administrative and operational management, enhance staff discipline, use resources more efficiently, and contribute to the workshop’s sustainability. Finally, it is concluded that applying a structured control approach provides a solid foundation for growth and competitiveness in the automotive sector.
