Abstract
videojuegos.
The objective of the present study was to analyze the relationship between exposure of video games with gender stereotypes and aggressiveness. The sample was confirmed by 217 people of legal age and of Peruvian nationality who answered about their video game habits (general exposure to videogames and exposure to violent video games), their orientation to gender stereotypes and levels of aggression. The results showed that the measure of general exposure was not related to gender stereotypes or aggression dimensions. On the other hand, the measure of exposure to violent video games was correlated with the orientation to accept the stereotypes of masculinity and with the dimensions of physical aggression, verbal aggression and anger. In addition, a criticism of the current research dynamics that is carried out around videogames is raised.
