The present study aimed to analyze the relationship between family functioning and resilience in higher education students in Lima Metropolitana in the context of COVID- 19 pandemic. Participated 145 students, 84 women and 61 men, aged 18 to 25 years (M=21.46, DE= 2.75). The instrument used tomeasure family functioning was the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale IV (FACES-IV) (Olson, 2011). To measure resilience, we used the Resilience Scale of 14 items RS-14 (Wagnild, 2009a). The results indicated a positive relationship between the study variables (p≤,00). Then, when the relationship between the dimensions of both variables was examined, significant and positive relationships were found between the Cohesion dimension in the Family Functioning scale with the Personal competence and Acceptance of oneself and life dimensions in the scale ofResilience (p≤ ,001). Similarly, Flexibility in Family Functioning was positively related to Personal competence and Acceptance of self and life in Resilience (p=,00). In addition, a negative relationship was evidenced between the Personal Competence of Resilience and the Distracted, Chaotic and Disengaged dimensions of the FACES-IV (p<.05). Finally, it was found that women presented higher scores in Cohesion and Acceptance of self and life and that students with jobs scored higher on Resilience, Personal Competence and Acceptance of self and life.
