Abstract
psicoterapia.
The research examines the predominance of heteronormative privilege in Peruvian society and its impact on those whose gender identities and expressions differ from traditional norms. Over 50% of the surveyed LGBTIQ+ community mentioned a lack of freedom to express their identity due to fear of discrimination or aggression. Although young people recognize their gender, they often face prejudices and insecurities that hinder them from fully embracing their identity. Drag culture is highlighted as a tool that challenges established genders and allows for the exploration and reaffirmation of gender identity. Despite various supportive initiatives, many only superficially address issues, without empathizing with non-conventional profiles within the LGBTIQ+ community. To address this, LiberArte is proposed, an emotional support service inspired by Drag practices, combining Drag principles with psychosocial support and drama therapy to enhance the quality of life for youth with gender identity issues. The research is based on triangulation of tools such as group dialogues and bibliographic analysis to develop this service aimed at motivating young people to reaffirm their gender identity through psychotherapy.
