Abstract
The present investigation analyzes and shares the experiences of the researcher during the unipersonal Yo, a creative process directed by the author herself, as well as the virtual laboratory, a process of exploration of movement with three contemporary dance dancers, carried out during the mandatory quarantine imposed by the Peruvian government in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Through these projects, we sought to reflect on dance as an expressive resource, analyzing its scope as a tool for the externalization of vulnerable emotions. Through these projects, we sought to reflect on dance as an expressive resource, analyzing its scope as a tool for the externalization of vulnerable emotions. Therefore, to cover the issue of dance as a tool for expression, a review was developed from practice and theory, to focus on body expression that allows the discovery of body language itself through vulnerable emotions. At the end of these two projects, the questions analyzed in this research arose about how authenticity is understood in dance, how these vulnerable expressions can be helpful in finding new qualities of movement, and how the context in which we live affects our way of expressing ourselves.
