Abstract
Los edificios institucionales monofuncionales y la desvinculación con su
contexto inmediato sin espacios públicos han promovido el desaprovechamiento
de la integración con la ciudad. Se toma como caso de estudio al Edificio
Petroperú. La sede administrativa que nace a partir de un concurso público de
arquitectura el año 1969, un edificio monofuncional, con voluntad de espacio
público. Ubicado en el corazón del centro financiero de Lima, su contexto sufrió
una densificación sin precedentes que, sumado al enrejamiento de la manzana,
cambió radicalmente su relación con la ciudad.
Poner en valor la totalidad de la manzana de Petroperú ubicada en el corazón
del centro financiero de Lima, tomando en cuenta su potencial de espacio
público y densificación mediante la formulación de un proyecto arquitectónico
de un edificio híbrido de usos mixtos con énfasis en el espacio público.
En cuanto a la metodología utilizada para la presente investigación, se consideró
la recolección de datos a partir del material del archivo de arquitectura PUCP.
La investigación se divide en tres etapas. Analisis de material del concurso
de arquitectura para la sede administrativa de Petroperú del arquitecto Llona.
Posteriormente, se estudia el edificio construido, diseñado por los arquitectos
Walter Weberhofer y Daniel Arana Ríos desde una perspectiva actual.
Finalmente, se plantea un proyecto que parte de las estrategias e ideas
arquitectónicas estudiadas. La propuesta del proyecto de fin de carrera plantea
revitalizar este espacio inserto en el centro financiero con diversos usos y
programas que permitan recuperar la vida pública, aumentar las áreas públicas,
y aprovechar el potencial residencial de la zona.
Monofunctional institutional buildings and the disconnection from their immediate context without public spaces, have promoted the waste of being able of integration with the city. The Petroperú Building is taken as a case of study. The administrative headquarters that was born from a public architectural competition in 1969, a monofunctional building, with the will of public space. Located in the heart of the financial center of Lima, its context underwent an unprecedented densification that, added to the grating of the block and radically changed its relationship with the city. To enhance the entire Petroperú block located in the heart of the financial center of Lima, taking into account its potential for public space and densification through the formulation of an architectural project of a hybrid mixed-use building with emphasis on public space . Regarding the methodology used for this research, data collection was considered from the material from the PUCP architecture archive. The investigation is divided into three stages. Analysis of material from the architectural competition for the administrative headquarters of Petroperú by architect Llona. Subsequently, the constructed building, designed by architects Walter Weberhofer and Daniel Arana Ríos, is studied from a current perspective. Finally, a project is proposed that is based on the architectural strategies and ideas studied. The proposal for the final year project proposes revitalizing this space inserted in the financial center with various uses and programs that allow public life to be recovered, increase public areas and take advantage of the residential potential of the area.
