Abstract
This project describes the guidelines to consider for the implementation of good practices of gender equity, based on the data and opinions taken in the interviews. The purpose of this study is to define criteria and considerations that serve as reference and guidance for the companies that do not have an equity plan or are already in the process of implementing it. This study carried out the following objectives: (a) investigate the implementation and development of good practices of gender equity, (b) benefits that companies perceive when implementing good practices of gender equity, (c) detect lessons learned, as a consequence of the barriers they have found in the process of incorporating good practices of gender equity, and (d) detecting success factors in the process of implementing good practices of gender equity. To meet the objectives of the investigation, 18 cases were studied, and interviews were conducted in the different companies. The results showed that the elements that should be taken into consideration to implement good gender equity practices are, mainly, the following: the matrix guidelines, diversity or equity policy, action axes, diversity committee, needs identification tools, corporate communication, training and equity programs, practices of life-work balance, sexual harassment and violence prevention and indicators are the elements that should be taken at implementing good equity practices. It is important to mention that although gender violence is an element found during the investigation and that it was considered relevant, at the beginning it was not in the research. Therefore, it is important to share an integrated model with elements that require the successful implementation of gender equity practices, so that more companies can work for equity and under a diversity strategy.
