This research focuses on analyzing the use of power by directors in the administrative management of two schools belonging to a Peruvian educational consortium. It was guided by two specific objectives: to describe the power strategies used by directors in said management and to analyze the power relationships that they establish with the members of the organization in the administrative context. This study is part of a qualitative research designed to explore in depth and in detail the cases analyzed. It adopts a multiple case study approach, which allows for an in-depth understanding of each case and to examine the similarities and differences between both institutions. The instruments used include a semi-structured interview script and an observation form applied by the research team. The analysis focuses on two institutions, where a director and a coordinator were interviewed in each institution. The information collected through the interviews was transcribed and organized in an analysis matrix, to later be cross-referenced with the data obtained from the observation forms, thus allowing for data triangulation. The analysis and discussion of the results revealed that both institutions E1 and E2 implement power strategies based on interpersonal and administrative communication. Both institutions tend to avoid the use of coercive strategies as a first option, however, in one institution power is used to impose some actions to achieve results. The success of administrative management will depend on the level of communication and trust in others.
