Resumen
La presente investigación busca realizar una exploración sobre cómo se desarrolla la
competencia literaria en la educación secundaria analizando las posibilidades del
empleo didáctico del cuento para fortalecer la adquisición de esta competencia.
Nuestros objetivos centrales son dos; en primer lugar, describir la competencia literaria
en la educación secundaria aproximándonos a su tratamiento en los planes
curriculares nacionales, específicamente en el ámbito del curso de Comunicación en
el nivel secundario. En segundo lugar, nuestro otro objetivo se enfoca en analizar el
desarrollo de la competencia literaria en la educación secundaria estimando las
posibilidades didácticas del cuento. En ese sentido, nos enfocaremos en el uso
didáctico del cuento y exploraremos sus potencialidades para ser un recurso en la
planificación curricular en aras de promover y mejorar la competencia literaria en los
estudiantes de secundaria. La metodología utilizada es de tipo documental y se
circunscribe bajo el enfoque cualitativo. Para este fin, se ha realizado un riguroso
trabajo de exploración y selección de fuentes, consultando revistas académicas, libros
dedicados a la investigación educativa y artículos de divulgación científica. La principal
conclusión a la que hemos arribado es que el desarrollo y la consolidación de la
competencia literaria en los cursos de educación secundaria es todavía deficiente y
una alternativa para poder paliar esta problemática es el uso metodológico del cuento
debido a algunas características intrínsecas que este posee.
The present research seeks to explore how literary competence is developed in secondary education, analyzing the possibilities of the didactic use of the short story to strengthen the acquisition of this competence. Our central objectives are two; Firstly, describe literary competence in secondary education, approaching its treatment in national curricular plans, specifically in the field of the Communication course at the secondary level. Secondly, our other objective focuses on analyzing the development of literary competence in secondary education, estimating the didactic possibilities of the short story. In that sense, we will focus on the didactic use of the short story and explore its potential to be a resource in curricular planning in order to promote and improve literary competence in high school students. The methodology used is documentary type and is limited to the qualitative approach. To this end, a rigorous work of exploring and selecting sources has been carried out, consulting academic journals, books dedicated to educational research and popular science articles. The main conclusion we have reached is that the development and consolidation of literary competence in secondary education courses is still deficient, and one alternative to mitigate this problem is the methodological use of short story due to some intrinsic characteristics it possesses.
