Abstract
This research studies the relationship of the dancer with the floor from the study of three patterns of Development Movement (DM): creep, crawling and walking, through the analysis of the contemporary dance piece La Mesa by the Colombian company Cortocinesis, where the members, based on their 15-year research of the body with the floor, give life to the proposal Piso Móvil, which is characterized by using three working materials: the floor, the body of the other and the air. This training system is the one observed in the above-mentioned piece with the purpose of understanding the organization of the dancers' movement. To achieve this, a methodology is designed where first a bibliographic search is conducted, then taking into account the information collected, a format for the interview guides is created based on qualitative research. Subsequently, the analysis of the work is carried out, in order to find the points of coincidence between the three patterns of the DM and Piso Móvil in the dance piece. This led to the understanding that taking advantage of the methodological tools of the DM in the practice of contemporary dance gives the dancer a better perception of his body and of it with the space.
