Agencia en madres: Rompiendo el círculo de violencia transgeneracional en prácticas de crianza

Resumen
El objetivo general de la presente investigación fue analizar las experiencias de agencia en
madres que desean romper el ciclo de violencia en sus prácticas de crianza. Las participantes
del estudio fueron 6 madres que participaron de un taller sobre prácticas de crianza brindado
por una Organización No Gubernamental (ONG), World Vision Perú, especializada en el
“enfoque con ternura” para transformar entornos y romper paradigmas de crianza, con el fin
de cada niña, niño y adolescente pueda tener un mejor desarrollo. La técnica de recolección
de información utilizada fue una entrevista semiestructurada; además, se contó con una ficha
sociodemográfica. En los resultados, se identificaron cinco temas, que contribuyen en el
desarrollo y comprensión de la agencia de las madres que decidieron romper con el círculo de
violencia en la crianza de sus hijos: Interpretación de la violencia vivida, Relación madre-hijo,
Visión de los hijos, Conciencia de sus actos y Ayuda externa para mejorar sus métodos de
crianza. Estos temas son aspectos cruciales para que las madres tomen conciencia de su
historia y del ciclo de violencia. Ahora bien, estos aspectos, sumados a su deseo e intención
por cambiar su crianza y establecer una buena relación con sus hijos, contribuye a su decisión
de cambio; impulsando así, a tomar la iniciativa y a implementar modificaciones. Asimismo,
se observa que supervisan su progreso y proponen formas de continuar introduciendo
cambios en sus conductas y pensamientos, con el objetivo de alcanzar el bienestar propio y el
de su familia.
The general objective of this research was to analyze the agency experiences in mothers who wish to break the cycle of violence in their parenting practices. The participants of the study were 6 mothers who participated in a workshop on parenting practices provided by a Non- Governmental Organization (NGO), World Vision Peru, specialized in the “approach with tenderness” to transform environments and break parenting paradigms, with the aim of each girl, boy and adolescent can have a better development. The data collection technique used was a semi-structured interview; In addition, there was a sociodemographic sheet. In the results, five themes were identified that contribute to the development and understanding of the agency of mothers who decided to break the cycle of violence in raising their children: Interpretation of the violence experienced, Mother-child relationship, Vision of children, Awareness of their actions and External help to improve their parenting methods. These topics are crucial aspects for mothers to become aware of their history and the cycle of violence. Now, these aspects, added to your desire and intention to change your upbringing and establish a good relationship with your children, contribute to your decision to change; thus encouraging them to take the initiative and implement modifications. Likewise, it is observed that they monitor their progress and propose ways to continue introducing changes in their behaviors and thoughts, with the aim of achieving their own well-being and that of their family.
