Vecinos Ilustres, casas históricas de Lima: Diseño de aplicación móvil para visibilizar las casas históricas del Centro Histórico de Lima para los visitantes de espacios culturales

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación aborda la problemática de la pérdida del patrimonio de las casas históricas del Centro Histórico de Lima (en adelante CHL), cuyo valor incalculable radica en sus estructuras arquitectónicas y el mobiliario histórico aportado por sus antiguos propietarios. Estas casas, ubicadas en la zona más antigua de la ciudad, enfrentan riesgos significativos debido a incendios, movimientos sísmicos y derrumbes, problemas agravados por la falta de conocimiento sobre su importancia como patrimonio cultural. Durante la investigación se identificó actores importantes, como el Ministerio de Cultura, la Municipalidad de Lima Metropolitana, los residentes y visitantes del CHL, relacionados con la integridad y puesta en valor de este patrimonio, buscando la integración del patrimonio con la vida de la ciudad y su sostenibilidad en el tiempo, sumando a la rica cantidad de información sobre las casas y su historia, que no llega de manera eficiente a los visitantes del CHL. Como resultado de la investigación, tanto teórica y de campo; se propone la realización de un aplicativo móvil que concentre información relevante y datos curiosos sobre las casas, mostrando parte del valor que posee este patrimonio, apoyándose también en la figura de los antiguos residentes de las casas, buscando lograr visibilidad para su puesta en valor, con el objetivo de ayudar a frenar la pérdida de patrimonio que pertenece a la humanidad y con especial énfasis a los limeños.The present research addresses the problem of heritage loss affecting the historic houses in the Historic Centre of Lima (abbreviated in Spanish as CHL), whose incalculable value resides in their architectural structures and in the historic furnishings contributed by their former owners. These houses, located in the oldest area of the city, face significant risks from fires, earthquakes, and collapses—issues exacerbated by a lack of awareness regarding their importance as cultural heritage. During the investigation, key stakeholders are identified such as the Ministry of Culture, the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, and the residents and visitors of the CHL—all of whom are linked to the integrity and enhancement of this heritage. The study seeks to integrate this heritage with the life of the city and ensure its long-term sustainability, while acknowledging that the wealth of information about the houses and their histories does not reach HCL visitors effectively. As a result of both theoretical and field research, the proposal is to develop a mobile application that gathers relevant information and interesting facts about the houses, showcasing part of the value of this heritage. It would also highlight the stories of the former residents of these homes, aiming to raise visibility and promote their preservation—ultimately helping to stop the loss of heritage that belongs to humanity, with special significance for the people of Lima.
