Transformación tímbrica de la live electronic music de los compositores peruanos participantes del festival La Trenza Sonora: el gesto físico y los objetos musicales

Abstract

La presente investigación busca identificar los vínculos entre el gesto físico y la transformación tímbrica de los objetos musicales en las obras de tres compositores peruanos participantes del festival La Trenza Sonora: Abel Castro, Jaime Oliver y Rajmil Fischman. El gesto es un elemento ilustrativo y emblemático con el cual el ser humano complementa su comunicación; y, en un contexto musical, se implementa en la live electronic music desde el uso de las interfaces gestuales, también llamadas wearables. Este uso se justifica desde los conceptos de source bonding, metáfora, esfuerzo y transparencia. A través de una adaptación del análisis espectromorfológico, desarrollado por Fischman en 1995, y la recopilación de datos brindados por los compositores mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas, se determina la relevancia del gesto físico en la transformación de los objetos musicales en tiempo real en la ejecución de las obras de dichos compositores.

The present research aims to identify the connections between physical gesture and the timbral transformation of musical objects in the works of three Peruvian composers participating in the La Trenza Sonora festival: Abel Castro, Jaime Oliver, and Rajmil Fischman. Gesture is an illustrative and emblematic element through which humans complement their communication, and it is implemented in live electronic music through the use of gestural interfaces—also known as wearables. The use of these gestural interfaces is justified by the concepts of source bonding, effort, and transparency. Through an adaptation of the spectromorphological analysis developed by Fischman in 1995, along with data collected from the composers through semi-structured interviews, this study will determine the relevance of physical gesture in the real-time transformation of musical objects during the performance of the mentioned composers' works at the festival.
