Abstract

The results suggest that higher scores in the culture of honor and its dimensions, presents a positive correlation with higher scores in the codes of honor and gender stereotypes (masculinity and femininity), which could be related to the legitimization of violence as a mean for the defense of honor and the fulfillment of gender stereotypes imposed on society. Finally, considering, the sociodemographic variables analyzed, results shows the existence of differences regarding the age of the participants.
