Abstract
With the onset of the pandemic and the declaration of a national state of emergency in our country, given on March 15, 2021 through SUPREME DECREE No. 044-2020- PCM, the health situation for the population began to change. The decree mentioned that people could only travel through the routes to access some services such as Assistance to health facilities in emergencies cases, thus leaving a vulnerable population group such as pregnant women and babies without their periodic control of their health and generating concern about the inaccessibility of health services and not knowing how to contact their health professionals. In this context, the VMJ marketing consultancy specialist in the health and education sector opened a program called Telesalud VMJ that would use technology as one of its allies and whose purpose is to provide guidance and counseling to pregnant women and mothers with babies on care of your health. For the development of the thesis, our general objective is to determine how efficient Telesalud VMJ program is in meeting the needs to self-manage the health of pregnant and lactating mothers. Similarly, our primary goals are to evaluate whether the Telesalud VMJ program effectively contributes to the prevention and promotion of maternal and child health, ascertain if the program utilizes suitable technical and technological resources for its operations, and understand the feedback received from users and healthcare professionals regarding the benefits derived from the services offered by the Telesalud VMJ program. From the perspective of social management, aimed at generating benefits for the vulnerable population from this, this research seeks to determine if Telesalud VMJ program generates positive effects that contribute to the health care of its target audience. For which this case study used a quantitative and qualitative methodology to collect data through interviews, questionnaires with expectant mothers and lactating mothers and a documentary review carried out by the same program, for its subsequent interpretation through an analysis and comparison of the sources. of information whose purpose will be to know how efficient Telesalud VMJ program was and then provide information to improve the service provided. The primary finding of this study is that pregnant and breastfeeding mothers apply the knowledge gained from the program, enabling them to proactively take preventive measures for their own health and the well-being of their infants. The key recommendation for the program is to sustain and further develop the provided services, considering the existing issue of limited access to healthcare services and the growing utilization of technology to enhance the health outcomes of the population.
