Abstract
After the 'Gamergate' debacle in 2014, the community formed around video games has become on the one hand more open (thanks to the greater representation of minorities in popular titles) and on the other hand more polarized (because of the violent actors who still feel they protect the term 'gamer' from phonies). In this work we will learn about the experience of the members of a particular 'gamer' community, whose members are women and members of the LGBT+ community, as well as the process of building a 'safe' space online, where they project their ideals of community and personal expression. We will be able to observe the creation, structuring and dissolution of a digital space and the effect that its existence has on the members of the community. Keywords: virtual communities, videogames, gender studies, lgbt+, cronstruction of spaces, habitus.
