This article will explore the relevance of the objective interpretation criterion for understanding the scope of consumers' right to receive relevant information in their ongoing consumer relationships with suppliers in the market. To achieve this objective, the current consumer protection framework has been analyzed to highlight the issues raised. Our main conclusions are that the application of the objective interpretation criterion is indeed legally relevant for understanding consumers' right to receive relevant information. Its application is justified for resolving specific consumer law cases because it is consistent with the provisions of the current consumer protection legal system. Finally, we conclude that it is sufficient to understand the scope of this right and is complementary to other interpretation criteria that promote the effective exercise of consumers' right to receive relevant information, in accordance with the general principles established in the Consumer Code.
