A partir
pandemia.
The purpose of this Professional Proficiency Project (PPP) is to describe the main learning achievements in the professional competencies of Diagnostic, Intervening, and Evaluating, throughout the period of pre-professional internships at a health institution in Metropolitan Lima specialized in neoplastic diseases. For the Diagnostic competency, a guide for the psychological diagnostic process was developed, which was applied, and a report was created that collects and analyzes the results of the application of psychometric instruments, as well as the application of a clinical interview. Additionally, 53 clinical notes are reported, which include the assessment of patients according to 4 areas: cognitive functions, affective functions, interpersonal relationships, and psycho-oncological criteria. For the Intervening competency, psychoeducational interventions were developed. The psychoeducational approaches were based on the design and execution of workshops in response to identified needs such as stress management, tolerance to uncertainty, and interpersonal issues linked to oncological disease. Finally, for the Evaluating competency, an evaluation was elaborated for three virtual psychological workshops carried out with a patient in the context of social isolation due to COVID-19. For this purpose, an analysis of the results was conducted based on the data obtained from the application of instruments such as the Distress Thermometer and interview guides. Based on this, improvement guidelines were formulated for the workshops regarding the implementation of other activities to reduce stress and cope with uncertainty in the context of the pandemic.
