Abstract
Mental health is related to the well-being of students, which is why it is important to keep it in balance and improve good physical and psychological health. Mental health is often affected by different factors, one of the most recurrent being academic stress, which hinders their level of discernment and decision-making, making their academic performance difficult and, at the same time, their personal life. College students know superficially about academic stress, as well as what it influences their body and mind, and especially their actions and health; without knowing what to do in difficult situations during the academic year. This problem can be faced through the design of an information campaign on academic stress, which is both in-person and virtual.. There are projects about mental health in the United States, Spain and in the local context for university students. However, within them the issue of academic stress is not specified. In addition, it would be necessary to propose an attractive language and visual communication for the students of an art and design faculty, as well as provide brief information, generate interaction with the target public, and give them a small action plan so they can use it when they are passing through moments of stress. For this reason, Re:Creo is a proposed information campaign on academic stress for university students oriented from social design to promote the reduction of stress through the communication of relevant information, self-knowledge and self-regulation of emotions. To achieve this, induction studies were carried out with an extensive bibliographic search developed taking into account writings from specialists on the subject and pioneers of research related to academic stress. Additionally, conceptualization studies were developed based on the research. And, validation studies were carried out with four experts who were interviewed and the project proposal was tested with ten users. Finally, as a result, there is an in-person and virtual informative campaign, which is presented through printed posters and publications with synthesized information, as well as video stories of the Re:Creo project published on Instagram.
