Abstract
This research explored the existence of components of community, the sense of community and the community participation in members of a football firm in Lima. For this, a semistructured interview was constructed, which allowed to identify the most important community elements among the participants (N = 8) based on the three axes studied, using open, axial and selective coding. It was verified that: (i) the group is characterized by its diversity, its dynamism and by not being ascribed to a physical territory; (ii) there is a high identification with their group due to the common culture they share, leading to a personal investment caused by their emotional connection; (iii) they have a hierarchical and participatory structure; (iv) they adhere public space within its dynamic; (V) they construct their self-concept based on the social beliefs around them.
