Estudio de la corporalidad del afroperuano y el dancehall para enriquecer la experiencia técnica de una bailarina de danza contemporánea
Abstract
El presente estudio se aborda desde la experiencia de quien lo realiza a lo largo de toda su
formación académica en la Facultad de Artes Escénicas. Es un recorrido de todo lo aprendido
y aplicado en la práctica para discutir sobre cómo la corporalidad del afroperuano y dancehall
pueden ser un medio para el estudio de la técnica de danza contemporánea. Es decir, a partir
de los elementos que componen dichas danzas, como la cadencia y groove, la musicalidad, el
simbolismo y la intuición, logren ser utilizados como herramientas que permitan vincular la
técnica con lo emocional y lo subjetivo. Con la finalidad de que sea posible vivenciar para
experimentar otro tipo de fisicalidad en los movimientos. Además, me permita construir mi
propia noción de corporalidad y elegir mis posibilidades de movimiento. Para ello, he
recurrido a una metodología en base a secuencias de movimiento para dejar aportes,
reflexiones y cuestionamientos sobre cómo la integración de la corporalidad del afroperuano
y dancehall a una práctica de danza contemporánea puedan servir como herramientas para la
exploración, el entrenamiento corporal, la creatividad del bailarín y para lograr enriquecer la
experiencia técnica. La investigación está tejida entre la teoría, la historia, mis pensamientos,
prácticas y las voces de maestros que han aportado a mi lenguaje de movimiento para generar
un constante juicio autocrítico. Finalmente, está plasmada por medio de videos y fotografías
que ayudan a tener un acercamiento con el lector en este proceso personal.
