Abstract
Over the last decades, the art of vitralism seems to be vanishing from the architecture panorama in Lima. This can be attested through an analysis of three buildings designed and built in three different moments of Peruvian architecture that goes from the modern architecture to the contemporary architecture. The analysis is strictly related to the bond between art and architecture and stablishes three common aspects between vitralism and architecture: concept, materiality and spatial experience. These concepts help us to understand the undeniable link that is created when these two fields coexist in one space. By doing so, the main purpose is to highlight the importance of vitralism in the design process of the architectural field, overcoming the design gap that is progressively growing between these two professions due to the preconceptions of the contemporary society.
