Abstract

This research is done in the form of a state of the art. The methodology used to collect and process the information was a documentary study, through which a systematic review was carried out in databases, university repositories and publishers has been consolidated. The structure of this work presents three sections: emotional development in early childhood; children's literature and literary experiences that happens in family, school and cultural context; and finally, emotional development through literary experiences in early childhood. In this way, it has been found that children's literature is a tool that allows children to build healthy emotional development through a wide range of benefits offered by the literary experiences that they will live within different contexts in which they find themselves: family, school and cultural. Finally, from a pedagogical perspective, it is recognized how important it is for teaching staff to be informed about this topic so that it is approached optimally within classrooms.
