Abstract

Therefore, a qualitative-based approach research was conducted following a thematic analysis (N=10) that could identify themes and families of meanings about different masculinity aspects. Results show that students SR of masculinity is similar to the traditional masculinity model in the descriptive and normative characteristics. Nevertheless, differences were reported between Humanity and Engineering students about the characteristics of intergender and intragender relationships. In addition to his, an intersectionality approach was considered towards exploring particularities of masculinity experiences among gay students of both faculties. Specifically, punishment of female traits reported in the latter faculty.
