Soporte social percibido, motivación y satisfacción respecto a la carrera en estudiantes de artes escénicas de una universidad privada de Lima Metropolitana

Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre el soporte social
percibido, la motivación y la satisfacción con la carrera elegida en estudiantes de Artes
Escénicas de una universidad privada de Lima Metropolitana. La muestra estuvo conformada
por 103 estudiantes, 60 hombres y 43 mujeres, cuyas edades oscilaban entre 18 y 33 años. Se
emplearon tres instrumentos, en donde cada uno medía una respectiva variable. Se realizaron
análisis de correlación, comparaciones entre medianas, así como análisis de regresión lineal
múltiple. Los resultados obtenidos evidenciaron que tanto el soporte social percibido como la
motivación correlacionaban positivamente e influían de manera directa con la satisfacción con
la carrera. Además, la dimensión superación de problemas personales correlacionó
negativamente con el soporte social percibido y la motivación intrínseca de manera directa con
el soporte social amical. Adicionalmente, serían las mujeres y los/as que trabajaban quienes
otorgaban mayor importancia a la carrera en el sentido de interesarse por esta y no
desprestigiarla. Finalmente, no se encontraron diferencias según el apoyo económico en el
soporte social percibido.
The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between perceived social support, motivation and satisfaction about the career in performing art students of a private university in Metropolitan Lima. The sample consisted of 103 students, 60 men and 43 women, whose ages ranged from 18 to 33 years. Three instruments were used in order to measure each of the study variables. For the study, correlation analyses, difference between medians, as well as linear and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results showed both perceived social support and motivation positively correlated and directly influenced satisfaction with the career. Also, the dimension overcoming personal problems correlated negatively with perceived social support, and intrinsic motivation correlated directly with peer social support. Additionally, women and those students who worked gave more importance to the career in the sense of being interested in it and not disapproved it. Finally, it was not found differences in economic support from the family in perceived social support.
